Why do players seem to avoid Edmonton, but have no problem playing in Calgary?
Think of all the players who have either to get out of Edmonton (Pronger, Comrie, Jimmy Carson a few years back) or have refused to hard to get there (Heatley, who was the guy they almost had signed last year, but it backwards?). The Oilers seem to have trouble attracting anyone to their team. The flames on the other hand, does not seem to have this problem. So what gives? What is the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers and do not? Both are cities of similar size and in the same area (which makes shitty trip for two), so there must be something else.
Look at the way management runs Oilers over Flames their team. I would go to Calgary too.
