Oakland Raiders Tickets-Released Cornerback Hall
Like it or not, the removal of head coach Lane Kiffin may have been the beginning of the coming changes to the Oakland Raiders. Owner Al Davis dropped his ax before next week's game 10 by releasing cornerback DeAngelo Hall. After the release of other changes to the list are expected by the Raiders. Hall was not, either. The Raiders just him again this year and agreed to a seven-year contract & 72 million dollars. Hall has received approximately $ 8 million by the Raiders, which raised questions about why the Raiders would drop it after only eight games this season. After the Raiders lost 24-0 to the Atlanta Falcons during week nine, the Raider administration decided to start hacking away at the list. Many players under consideration for release are also among the most well paid on the list. The changes could mean an exciting new team, which means fans should reserve their Oakland Raiders tickets http://www.stubhub.com/oakland-raiders-tickets/.
Before coming to the Oakland Raiders, Hall was with, coincidentally, the same Falcon team that gave the Raiders shutout loss one weeks before his release. The Falcons picked him up in the first round of 2004 draft from Virginia Tech. During his academic career, Hall had 190 tackles, eight interceptions and two forced fumbles. In his first year with the Falcons, he missed the first six of the season after injuring the hip during the preseason. He played in 10 games last season, starting nine of them. He tallied 35 tackles, half a bag and two interceptions this season. The next season he started all 15 games he played with 65 tackles and six interceptions. He started every game the next season, and all but one season in 2007. He had a career high 70 tackles in 2007 with five interceptions. Since he has been with the Raiders, he started every game and tallied 48 tackles, half a sack and three interceptions in eight games.
The Raiders have been up and down season so far this year. They started with a 41-14 loss to the Denver Broncos AFC West colleagues. This was followed by an important victory on 23-8 NFC West leaders Kansas City for two weeks, which would later beat the Broncos. They barely lost 24-23 to the Buffalo Bills in three weeks, followed by a 28-18 loss to the Chargers in San Diego. Then came a staggering 34-2 loss to New Orleans Saints. The following week, however, they returned to overthrow the Brett Favre-led New York Jets 16-13. Before their loss to the Falcons, they dropped a 29-10 contest at Baltimore Ravens during the eighth week.
Raiders fans, or anyone else who is concerned about the fate of the hall should rest at ease. Since 2005, he ranks third in the NFL for the number interceptions with 18. He was also named the fastest man in the NFL during the 2006 Pro Bowl contest. With cornerback in high demand in the NFL, Hall will probably not homeless for long.
