The AFC East QB carousel; what does it mean?

Probably not much. Regarding the Dols, IMHO Pennington hurts them more
than helps because he can't challenge a defense deep, which means stacking
the box and shutting-down the Dols' only offense: their running game (which
is questionable given Brown is coming back from an ACL before even a year
has passed and Williams has been injured the past 2 years, including in the
CFL). And the Dols don't have any decent receivers, and have a rookie LT
protecting Pennington's backside. Also the lateness of his addition won't
help matters any. But what I hope is that he helps the Dols knock-off the
Jets in the season-opener, given that he knows the Jets' playbook.

Regarding the Jets, it depends on which Favre they get. Do they get the
2005-2006 version, or last year's version? According to Jay Glazer, the
Packers forced Favre to commit to a conditioning program, which put him in
the best shape of his career and was a significant reason why he rebounded
from the 2 previous poor seasons. He hasn't been working-out at all over
the off-season and was also a late addition to the team.

I predicted the Bills to sweep both before their QB acquistions. I still
see them sweeping the Dols and at worst see them splitting with the Jets.
I guess we'll find out when they play the real games.

I don't see how he can hurt a 1-15 team. They will be a few games
better with him.A perfect QB for a big time rebuild. Why they figure
out about the young QBs they have.

We have to sweep the Phins.I see a split with the Jets too.We have the
Patriots the last game of the season. After what the Giants did in the
last game,Im not sure if teams will rest or play the last game now.But
by that point we will probably already know(before the Pats game)if
were in or out of the playoffs.

Ya, Favre's unselfish, team-oriented and never lets his emotions cloud his
judgement. He's a perfect influence. Kinda like bringing in DF while you're
waiting for someone like RJ to pan out as a starter.

Let the fun begin.

* are you talking about?I was talking about Chad Pennington. Not
Favre.
The Phins went 1-15.Not the Jets.I don't see how any QB could hurt a
1-15 team.

But to comment on what you said.DF won games.Took the team to the
playoffs. If Favre goes to the playoffs with the Jets. They will be very
very happy with that. They got Favre because they have no good
QBs.Neither of the QBs they had were the future of the Jets.Get Favre
and try to win now. That's the plan.Draft a QB next year.

The situations are different.
In Buffalo, RJ was the annointed starter, with DF as the mentoring BU.

In NY, Favre is the starter, and Clemens is the BU. Further, IIRC, reports
out of NY had Chad as the starter over Clemens. If correct, all the Jets
did was replace one starter with another. In this case, the replacement is
better than original.
