The plans for a good season could be riding on this.

well isn't that just peachy. season has not yet started and there may be a
key player in street clothes. next they will tell you that he ran because of
drug activity immediately prior to the mishap! sounds like the commissioner
will be having a say on the depth chart.

good thing season tix sales were moving at a good clip. those wins against
oak, stl and ari might be a little harder. forget sea and jax.

the nightmare continues.

If he did it, and that would be bad, at best he'd probably miss 4 games, if
even. Since the woman wasn't seriously injured, it's a misdemeanor.
Parrish got nailed for a DUI, also a misdemeanor, and no suspension for
him.

not knowing the facts - like if he was in the car, where was he, etc - he
could be totally ok for game 1. he is young so maybe a slap on the wrist?
probation from both police and nfl. unless the police want to make an
example - but why? i guess the usual would be a 2 - 4 game issue and i
suspect that would be the max. but unless a story comes out --- probation
and warnings.

I wonder if Marv stepped down because he realized how out of touch his
methods are with today's athlete. It's one thing to preach
"character" to a group that's receptive, but...

i would suggest Marv may have understood just how much work had to be done
and fragile the situation was at Bills Land today. he was too old to be
energized with that much lifting. and yes - the new age players are
different. the paychecks are so large that the hunger of the earlier players
is again diminished. until the bills have the base of good players in depth
each encounter like this [lynch] could be a couple of game opportunities
with reduced results. these players are just millionaire knuckleheads.

then what do u expect - take any youth regardless of background, education
or race and give them millions, lots of freedoms, delivering tomorrows
rewards today and what do u get? dui's, odd hours, guns, posses, porches,
drugs, women of all types and baggage of past in somecases. i know of u took
one of my sons and gave them millions and time - there would be no
difference. it is not the kids faults or the times -- it is just too much
too soon. and the results are understood.

That's right. If I won $35 million in the lottery, the first thing I
would do would be to buy a gun, hang out with whores, buy crack, and
hire a "posse".

I was worried about the "dreds" and the gold tooth when the Bills
signed him.

It is a "cultural thing" not is not the kids fault.

Wrong! This * is unacceptable to society. I blame MTV, Grand Theft
Auto, Tickle Me Elmo and the Pet Rock!!!

I think Harry was giving a reason, not an excuse.

Personally, I'm looking forward to this season just to witness the
inevitable debauchery down in Dallas, with that cast of punks, thugs &
criminals.

Even during the "glory" years under Marv, the Bills were not the choir boys
some like to think they were. Levy believed in second chances.

Bruce Smith was suspended for four games.
Rumors persisted about Kelly and his drinking.
The Bills took a chance on that DL from the Lions (Rodgers?)(the guy was
convicted of killing a person while DUI, or something like that)

But I got to admit, Hardy seems like one of those guys Marv would never
have drafted. The guy had issues in college.

As for Lynch, I will wait to see what comes of it.
However, it is disturbing the guy is not talking, even to the police.
