The Buffalo Bills have added a quarterback to the roster as the club
claimed Matt Baker off waivers. Baker had been with the Dolphins up
until early this week.
The 6'2" 212-pound signal caller was signed out of college in 2006 as an
undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans. In the middle of his first
training camp he was released by Houston and signed by the Dallas
Cowboys. He then served on the Cowboys practice squad as a rookie.
Last season Baker spent time on both the Cardinals and Saints practice
squads.
Baker played his college ball at North Carolina where as a senior in
2005 he was named the team's most valuable offensive player. In his only
season as a starter he threw for 2,345 yards, the fourth most in school
history with nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also served as
team captain.
